Term Three
Year 7/8's,
Term 3 has well and truely begun. It is cool to see people practicing plays and skits during reading time as well as reading some interesting and kind of random narratives. It is also neat to see the interest in our Space unit and we look forward to seeing you progress with it. Winter Tournament was today and it was a great day! All teams were fantastic, and to all that participated and helped out...Well done and thank you!

Term Two
Hi all! It has been a while since we last updated the blog or moderated any of your comments. It is great to see all your positive comments especially from room 16! Keep them coming and feel free to share any of your ideas or questions about life at Kenakena.
The Kapiti Island trip was a success for everyone and we hope you all enjoyed yourselves. Take Action for Water has been interesting and I have seen some good reports in the making. Our Explore day should be fun and interesting and lets hope we have good weather for it.
Our teacher only day was interesting and we looked closely at our maths program. We discussed the idea of having Maths at 9:30am instead of after morning tea, we wanted to get your opinion of this and any ideas or suggestions of how we can improve mathematics for you. Please vote on the latest poll and leave any comments.

Week Five
Wow!!! Great to you see alot of you posting positive and interesting comments, keep them coming. It is also great to see many of you participating in all other areas of the school too. We look forward to seeing more of your successes as the year progresses.

Kia Ora! Already week three and things are moving quickly, especially those who made the PCT call-backs!! Be sure to check if your name is on the list! Here are some other friendly reminders for you to put in your diaries.

Every Tuesday: 12:30pm Contact Sports (must have your own mouth guard!!)
Every Thursday: 8:15 am Fitness training on the courts at school

March 1st - Meet the teacher/parents picnic @ Otaihanga Domain
March 4th - Interschool Swimming competition
